In the last couple of years, the popularity of virtual meetings has hit new records in response to calls to reduce air travel and utilize climate-friendly conferencing.

The recent coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak has shed light on alternative digital options, as opposed to ‘business as usual’ conference set-ups. However, these recent developments are far from being all there is to say about virtual meetings or conferencing.

This virus outbreak has already proven to be one of the largest teleworking experiments ever, but how can we effectively utilize online participation tools to continue end-to-end meetings uninterrupted? One way will be to move meetings to an online environment.

Virtual meetings are real-time interactions that take place over the Internet using integrated audio and video, chat tools, and application sharing. They offer a way to engage participants in fully interactive, online learning experiences such as lectures, discussions, and tutoring.

Through the course of the training, participants were allowed to perform the live practice of virtual meetings using “Zoom and other tools to connect remotely to their colleagues.

This training further encouraged all participants to fully integrate the process of switching daily meetings from physical to virtual interaction.

Positive feedbacks were received at the end of the training as all participants agreed that Virtual communication is the future of communications.
